Week in Review on gillaspytraining.com:
Rehab to Performance
Picture this, a person has an injury or a surgery and begins rehab. They get range of motion back, some good isolated strengthening of certain muscles, maybe a little conditioning, and start feeling better… And then they stop. Just when it’s time to start adding load with a comprehensive strength and conditioning program, they completely stop. Unfortunately a lot of people still see these things as two separate entities. It’s not just about doing rehab and then done. It’s about doing rehab and then building back to performance. These two things are really just a continuum, and it’s one reason why I routinely say rehab is training.
Strong Deadlift
Marisha was a little hesitant about strength training at first, but that has long since passed. Proving why more women shouldn’t be afraid to lift weights.
