Sometimes matching energy systems to the sport isn’t quite specific enough, at some point we need the environment to match as well. This isn’t always feasible, but if at all possible in the 4-6 weeks leading up to competition match the environment in as much detail as possible.

There will always be exceptions to every rule. Sometimes skinny guys will throw hard and sometimes bigger guys won’t be able to throw hard at all, but this is definitely something that is intriguing moving forward. Increasing throwing velocity could be as easy as putting on some size.
