Week in Review

Week in Review on gillaspytraining.com:

Legion Protein

There was a sale, but unfortunately it has come and gone. No more buy one get one 40% off, but I can get first time customers 20% off. I also wanted to add, there’s casein and plant based protein options as well. Casein is going to digest slower than a whey protein and the plant has all 9 essential amino acids, which sometimes is harder to find in a plant based protein.

Overhead Press Variation

Being able to produce and absorb force in multiple positions statically is kind of a big deal. This exercise adds another layer to that by having to absorb and produce force dynamically as you go into a different position. Don’t know if you’ve seen this one before or not, but regardless give it a try.

Tough Faith

We just finished an IVF cycle and actually ended up with 3 embryos. We had 3 eggs and ended up going 3 for 3 with making embryos out of those eggs, a pretty rare feat and a small miracle in and of itself. Two of the 3 are solid and the third is kind of lagging behind so we will see how it progresses.Today was our transfer and they transferred two of those embryos at once, as they thought that gave us the best chance. Now it’s just a waiting game for the next couple weeks when Kelsey will go to take her pregnancy test. An exhausting process, but all that to say faith precedes the miracle. Let’s hope for the completion of that miracle in a couple weeks. As always, but especially the last couple of weeks, stress management has been a key to my training. I’m looking forward to getting back on a normal schedule this week.

Thanks for reading and have a great week.
