Gym Injuries


A lot of gym injuries come from repetitive movements, too much volume, or not enough balance in a program. In some cases a combination of all three. Often times it starts with only hurting during the workout (commonly a shoulder) or right after, then gets better, only to return again during the next workout. Obviously this isn’t all that can cause injuries, but it’s common. And if it is because of the reasons above, it’s avoidable.




Rotational Power Alternative


A lot of gyms don’t have a wall to throw medicine balls at, so instead of finding a new gym (maybe you should) here’s an alternative. Almost every gym has cables.




Health Supplements


Sports supplements get all the hype, but health supplements are the most important. These should set the foundation. Considering 41% of US adults are vitamin D deficient, maybe a good multivitamin is just what the doctor ordered. Making a Case Against the Pec Deck


When thinking about ways to get in shape, maximize longevity, perform better, etc. I can’t help, but put the pec deck near the bottom of the list. Not to mention, there are plenty of other ways to use equipment that is already in most gyms to get similar training effects, making it kind of a redundant exercise/machine anyway.
