Slow and Steady With Fat Loss

There is a strong correlation between the rate at which someone loses weight and their ability to keep it off. If someone loses weight faster than 1-3 pounds per week, it’s not that it’s necessarily a bad thing within reason, but chances are high that it will be put right back on. Why is this you ask? Typically because they don’t learn anything about the fundamentals of nutrition, and are on a diet that’s not sustainable. When a person can’t sustain the extreme diet they are doing any longer, they fall right back into the same things they were doing prior. This is why it’s so common to see people yo yo dieting for years. Lose a bunch of weight, put it back on. Lose a bunch of weight, put it back on.
