Progressing too fast leads to no change at best and injury at worst. Using the squat as an example, if an athlete isn’t ready to squat with a bar yet, then we would be better served working on the squat pattern and finding an exercise the athlete can perform without compensation. Polish the basics for the particular athlete in front of you before progressing on.

Lat Pulldowns seem to be a very popular exercise in gyms everywhere, but often times you will see head scratching execution of the exercise.
